    Job Requirements
    • Outstanding written/oral communication skills and organizational skills. 
    • Considerable knowledge of and skill in monitoring costs, quality and on-time performance of project activities using standard project management techniques. 
    • Considerable skill in needs assessment, and defining/designing projects. 
    • Skill and experience in data analytics. 
    • Skill in facilitation, team building, collaborative problem solving, conflict resolution, and systems/process development. Skill in negotiation and active listening. 
    • Skill in the use of Microsoft Office, including SharePoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook, data analysis software (i.e. Tableau or similar visualization tool), as well as familiarity with web-based research and information dissemination applications, content management systems, and association management systems. 
    • Familiarity with educational knowledge capture and delivery processes, including virtual media, social networking, and other applicable communication tools. 
    • Ability to coordinate a diverse resource pool, to interact effectively in an individual membership environment, recognize and identify member concerns, analyze issues and concepts to correctly state a problem and develop recommended solutions. 
    • Ability to work autonomously. 
    • Ability to juggle multiple projects that have participation from various departments, external organizations and AIA components.
    Graduate or professional degree in architecture, planning, or engineering or related fields with three -five years of work experience of which two years should include project management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Specific, applicable and demonstrated project management experience and/or education are highly desirable. Experience with sustainability subject matter or high performance design is preferred. Experience working in architectural practice, data analytics or with an association a plus.

    Job Description 

    This is a professional position in the Strategic Alliances and Initiatives department who will work with a team of internal and external staff and volunteers to complete their tasks. The Manager provides support in a team-based approach to a variety of projects and products, which are assigned related to the topics of sustainable practice and building performance, specifically energy performance and sustainable material selection. The Manager will work closely with staff and volunteers to develop products/services in various sustainability content areas.
